The Gower Peninsula was designated the UK’s first area of outstanding natural beauty, celebrating it’s 50th year in 2006.

In fact, one of the local Gower beaches, Oxwich Bay, has been named the most beautiful in the UK by travel writers who visited more than 1,000 beaches around the world in search of the perfect sands. It was praised by The Travel Magazine for “magnificent and unspoilt” scenery and as a “great place for adults and children to explore.” See BBC News article

The farm is ideally situated for ramblers (the Gower Way runs through the farm). There is a cycle path nearby which takes you through the Clyne Valley down to Blackpill where you can cycle to either Swansea Marina or to the Mumbles. This path is ideal for all the family.

Swansea market is also not too be missed as one of the largest indoor markets with home grown products – not to be missed is the local cockles & laverbread

For those of you interested in wildlife then the Llanelli Wetlands is the place for you. Wwt Llanelli is a haven for many different plants and animals. Tens of thousands of migratory birds visit every year. Alongside the Gower which also has an abundance of wildlife.

There are many golf clubs and courses around Swansea & the Gower for those who cannot leaves their clubs behind! The nearest is a two minute drive from the farm ‘the Gower Golf Club’.

Also for the football and rugby fans the Liberty stadium is a bus ride away.

Also the Scarlet’s rugby ground is a short drive away.
